What Divers Say

★★★★★

"All Staffs are very very kind and try to help us as much as possible. Foods are just great! Diving plan is well organized for safe and enjoyable. Feel comfortable all the times."

★★★★★

"Can't say enough great things about the staff and guides on the Phinisi! Everything was amazing! Dives, ship facilities, food, equipment, staff and guides Ping and BJ went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our time on board."

★★★★★

"Great dives, great food, great staff. Dives were so much fun. The dive masters were relaxed but still took care of us without babying us. After every dive, the crew would provide you with hot drinks and we were fed five times a day."

Common Questions

What certification do I need?
PADI Open Water or equivalent with a minimum of 10 logged dives is the minimum requirement on all Thailand Master itineraries. Some sites extend beyond entry-level depth limits or are subject to currents and surge, so Advanced Open Water is recommended to make the most of the diving and can usually be completed on board.
When is the diving season?
The Similan, Surin and Koh Lanta National Parks close during the southwest monsoon, from late May to early October. Diving runs through the northeast monsoon period from November to April, when conditions on the west coast are predictable with light winds.
What's the water temperature?
Water temperatures throughout the Andaman Sea average 28-29C. A 3mm shorty wetsuit suits most divers, while some are happy in just a rashguard and swimwear. Bring extra thermal layers if you feel the cold easily, especially after multiple dives. Thermoclines can occur at deeper sites.
What's the diving like?
Sites range from rocky pinnacles and walls to sheltered bays and gently sloping coral reefs. Visibility is between 10 and 40+ metres depending on location, tide and weather. Marine life spans tiny crabs and nudibranchs through to whale sharks and manta rays. Some sites are subject to strong currents and surge.
