Set beside a tranquil beach on Santa Cruz Island, Finch Bay is a unique beachfront stay in the heart of the Galapagos. Contemporary comfort with sustainable design, an outdoor pool, spa, and open-air restaurant, with easy access to the islands' incredible wildlife and activities.
With our team regularly visiting each of our destinations, whether for work or for a well-earned holiday, here are some of their personal favourites to spend time themselves and to send their customers to.
If I'm spending a couple of extra nights in the Galapagos, I love staying at the Galapagos Sunset Hotel in San Cristobal. Right on the waterfront and within walking distance of restaurants, cafes and the harbour, it's the perfect base to explore the island at a relaxed pace. I especially enjoy grabbing a coffee in the morning and watching the sea lions along the promenade before heading out to explore the town.
Finch Bay is one of my favourite resorts in the Galapagos for a longer stay. Located just outside Puerto Ayora and surrounded by nature, it feels peaceful and exclusive while still being close enough to explore the town. I love how easy it is to combine relaxing by the pool with wildlife encounters, snorkelling trips and day tours around Santa Cruz and the surrounding islands.

Our reservations team checks availability and comes back to you with a quote for your dates. No obligation.

Everything you need to know about adding a hotel stay to your liveaboard trip.
Yes. Once you choose a hotel and confirm the dates, our reservations team handles the booking directly. You do not need to book separately through a third-party site. We work with these hotels regularly and can often secure better terms than booking independently.
In the Maldives we arrange your transfer from the airport to your hotel and from the hotel to the liveaboard departure point. Several of the hotels listed also include their own complimentary airport transfers. Onward arrangements (resort speedboats, return flights) we'll talk through when we confirm your booking.
Absolutely. Many of our guests book a one-night stay before departure and a few nights at a resort afterwards. Just let us know your plans and we will put together a complete package. You can mix and match different hotels for before and after.
Cancellation and amendment policies vary by hotel. We will confirm the specific terms when we send you the quote. In most cases there is a free cancellation window. If your liveaboard trip changes, we will help you adjust the hotel booking to match.
All of the hotels we suggest have 24-hour front desks and are accustomed to late arrivals. If your flight is significantly delayed, let us know and we will notify the hotel on your behalf. This is one of the advantages of booking through us rather than independently.
We can help you find the right hotel for your dates, arrange transfers, and make sure everything connects smoothly with your liveaboard departure.
