About this itinerary

Located in the Andaman Sea, off the West coast of Thailand, The Similan Islands are thought to have inherited their name from the Malay word 'sembilan' meaning "nine". This is because the Similans Archipelago consists of a group of nine granite boulder islands, although the boundaries of the Similans National Park extend north to encompass Koh Bon and Koh Tachai. Above the water, the topography is stunning; tropical vegetation tops the islands, giving way to granite boulders or white sandy beaches, all surrounded by clear, warm water. However, it is what lies beneath the surface that allows the Similans to lay claim to being one of Thailand and Southeast Asia's top scuba diving liveaboard destinations.

The first liveaboard in my life. A storm was coming but we did not worry because of the stable crew.
