See the very Best of the Solomons, renowned for the thriving marine life and biodiversity, making this secluded destination a diver's dream. There are numerous unspoiled hard and soft corals plus a variety of dive sites ranging from WWII wrecks to caverns to reefs. You will have a chance to see macro species such as pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs, plus scores of reef fish, mantas, numerous sharks and, if you're lucky, maybe even pilot whales!
Maps & Itinerary
The Best of the Solomons includes the Russell Islands and Florida Islands and ventures further west to Marovo Lagoon and Mbulo Island. This 10 night liveaboard adventure allows up to 30 dives including several night dives (depending on conditions).
During the cruise there will be at least one visit to a village where you can meet local families and get a taste of life in the Solomon Islands. The children come out to play and love our gifts of school supplies. Consider the Pack for a Purpose program to see how you can help.
A typical day on WWII Wreck Week itinerary offers up to 4 day dives; 3 day dives and a fourth sunset or night dive. The diving day is scheduled as follows:
- Light Breakfast followed by a briefing and Dive 1
- Full Breakfast, relaxation period, briefing and Dive 2
- Lunch, relaxation period, briefing and Dive 3
- Snack relaxation period, briefing and Dive 4, where possible
*The itinerary above is an example only and is subject to change depending on local regulations, guests’ experience, flight schedules, weather and logistics and is at the Captain’s discretion. Adverse weather can affect the Best of the Solomons itinerary which includes several overnight sailings.
Solomons PNG Master is a custom designed diving vessel with 12 cabins accommodating up to 20 guests and a crew of 12 including your dive team, skipper, boat crew and chefs. Inside she boasts a huge lounge and dining area with DVDs, large TVs and a dedicated camera area for our photographer guests. Spend time sharing your photos from your dive adventures, reading a book from our library or just chill out in air conditioned comfort.
Master Liveaboards offers a range of services to make your time on the Best of the Solomons trip even more enjoyable. All rental equipment, Marine Park & Port fees, and diver courses can now be pre-booked and also pre-paid at the time of booking. For our technical diver guests, please send us your gas and equipment requests as early as possible.
