Dive the superb wrecks of the WWII Japanese Imperial Navy fleet that are scattered in a variety of depths around Truk Lagoon. Our 9 night liveaboard diving itinerary allows you to not only explore many of the famous wrecks, but also to experience some superb reef diving. There are numerous channels that cut through the reef serving as hunting grounds for reef sharks and schooling pelagics that all add to the wonder of diving Truk Lagoon.
Maps & Itinerary
Offering up to 4 dives per day, our 9 night liveaboard diving itinerary allows the possibility of up to 30 dives exploring the wrecks and reefs of Truk Lagoon.
Many of the wrecks we visit are within recreational diving depth limits, while others are only suitable for divers with technical diving certifications. We offer Tec diving* facilities on board for those with the training and experience to explore deeper and take a closer look at history.
*Technical divers are responsible for their own dive profiles and must provide the cruise director with a copy of each dive plan.
The liveaboard vessel will moor directly over the deeper sites allowing an easy descent down the line on to the wreck. Technical divers will benefit from the support of the “mother ship”, whilst our 2 skiffs are able to shuttle less experienced divers to the shallower wrecks and offer reef diving as an alternative.
Although we typically offer up to 4 day dives, the 4th may be substituted for a night dive when the boat is anchored within the lagoon. Each diving day is usually scheduled as follows:
- Light Breakfast followed by a briefing and Dive 1
- Full Breakfast, relaxation period, briefing and Dive 2
- Lunch, relaxation period, briefing and Dive 3
- Snack relaxation period, briefing and Dive 4, where possible
*The itinerary above is an example only and is subject to change depending on local regulations, guests’ experience, flight schedules, weather and logistics and is at the Captain’s discretion. Adverse weather can affect this route which includes several overnight sailings.
Pacific Master is a custom designed diving vessel with 12 cabins accommodating up to 20 guests and a crew of 12 including your dive team, skipper, boat crew and chefs. Inside she boasts a huge lounge and dining area with DVDs, large TVs and a dedicated camera area for our photographer guests.
