Maps & Itinerary

This 10 night Visayas, Southern Leyte & Malapascua liveaboard itinerary eplores some of the very best diving of the Philippines. There is a wide diversity of marine life, steep coral covered walls, gentle sloping reefs and muck diving hotspots.

During the tour you will visit and dive the islands of Limawasa, Cabilao, Balicasag, Bohol, and Malapascua. This trip not only offers fantastic macro and the chance to see schooling fish, but also the possibility of some larger pelagics. Also, thresher sharks come in to feed on schools of sardines and whale sharks may also be seen here.

Underwater, the topography of dive sites varies from shallow sandy fringing reefs to steep walls dotted with seafans and sponges. Marine life is diverse however common sightings include green and hawksbill turtles and schools of barracuda and jacks, whilst redtooth trigger fish, pyramid butterfly fish and blue lined fusileers are seen on almost each dive in huge numbers.

Smaller creatures such as frogfish, ghost pipefish, octopus and pygmy seahorses are found at several of the dive sites and of course a wide range of nudibranchs, shrimps and crabs can be found on each reef.

On a typical day we offer up to 4 dives; 3 day dives and a fourth sunset or night dive. The diving day is scheduled as follows:

  • Light Breakfast followed by a briefing and Dive 1
  • Full Breakfast, relaxation period, briefing and Dive 2
  • Lunch, relaxation period, briefing and Dive 3
  • Snack relaxation period, briefing and Dive 4, where possible
  • Dinner

There really are not words to describe what an incredible experience this voyage has been. Not only are we looking forward to sailing again in a few years on Palau Siren we are planning a trip to the dive resort Atmosphere in Negros; we were lucky to experience cocktails there one evening and one tour of the resort was all it took to sell us on it.

My dive buddy just wanted to be on a Siren boat and now I know why. The boat was very nice, with spacious cabins and ensuites and the staff was so great at taking care of us. The diving was good, including whalesharks, thresher sharks and this one dive with a huge school of sardines. There were just about as many crew members as divers and they completely spoiled us.
