Maps & Itinerary
This 10 night Malapascua & Visayas LAMAVE Special liveaboard adventure allows up to 33 dives (including night dives) and takes you to some of the most beautiful regions of the Philippines, allowing you to experience some of the best diving in all of south east Asia.
Executive Director Gonzalo Araujo from the Large Marine Vertebrates Research Institute Philippines (LAMAVE) will join us on board Philippine Siren for this special trip and you are invited to assist with their research to deploy/ retrieve and service their acoustic receivers at multiple sites along the itinerary route including Cabilao, Balicasag, and Malapascua.
Throughout the trip, your observations and pictures enable LAMAVE to do photo identification of green and hawksbill turtles, mantas, and whale sharks as and where they are encountered. There will be presentations explaining LAMAVE’s research into the various species, how the collected data is used and interpreted, why it is important, and how it can lead to conservation.
