Overview
Abundant marine life
Varied diving
Pristine reefs
Pelagic encounters
Volcanic islands
This unique Indonesia liveaboard diving itinerary explores the diverse reefs of North Sulawesi, combining the legendary muck diving of Lembeh Strait with the colourful coral reefs of Bangka Island and the remote volcanic landscapes of the Sangihe Archipelago. The Lembeh Strait is world-famous for its extraordinary variety of rare and unusual marine life. Patient divers exploring the black sand slopes and rubble habitats may discover frogfish, mimic octopus, flamboyant cuttlefish, blue-ringed octopus and countless nudibranchs and shrimps. Nearby Bangka Island offers a striking change of scenery with coral-covered pinnacles, reef slopes and vibrant soft corals supporting schools of reef fish and cruising turtles. Further north, the rarely visited Sangihe Archipelago rises from deep oceanic waters, where dramatic walls and pinnacles attract large schools of fish and occasional pelagic visitors. Together, these regions reveal a wonderfully varied side of diving in North Sulawesi.

Maps & Itinerary
This 10-night liveaboard itinerary explores North Sulawesi and the remote volcanic islands of the Sangihe Archipelago. The route links the famous muck diving of Lembeh Strait with nearby coral reefs of Bangka Island before contunuing north to a rarely visited island chain rising from deep oceanic waters.
Lembeh Strait & North Sulawesi:
Near Bitung, dives in Lembeh Strait are known worldwide for their unusual critter life and black sand habitats. Nearby reefs around Bangka Island offer colourful coral pinnacles, reef slopes and drop-offs where gentle currents often bring schools of fusiliers, snappers and surgeonfish.
Sangihe Archipelago:
North of Sulawesi, this remote chain of volcanic islands rises steeply from the depths of the Molucca Sea between Indonesia and the Philippines. Diving here features dramatic walls, submerged pinnacles and lava-formed reefs where currents can attract large schools of fish and occasional pelagic visitors.
On a typical day we offer up to 4 day dives or, 3 day dives and a sunset or night dive. The diving day is scheduled as follows:
- Light Breakfast followed by a briefing and Dive 1
- Full Breakfast, relaxation period, briefing and Dive 2
